Mechanic threw a proverbial hand grenade into the middle of our bitcoin farms today. Not only does it take almost 100 hours to make a bitcoin now, Mechanic has stated graphics cards are going to start to wear out.
A leaked email has hinted patch 12.11 is coming soon (like in the next day or days) so we may be seeing graphics cards with durability after the patch, as well as kissing bitcoin good bye. Battle State Games unintentionally unleashed an economy destroying item to the game with bitcoin when it went on it’s insane run in real life. By having their own coin in game they can modify it and control it within the lore much more easily.
Escape from Tarkov is heading for some big changes, and I for one can’t wait to see how they implement them with 12.11 and going forward.
